Personalized Easter Totes
Scouring the Target dollar section can sometimes turn up nothing, and other times you hit the jackpot. I got really lucky the other day and found some adorable pre-made bunny totes that I knew would be perfect for Easter! And funny enough, a friend of mine posted her own dollar section score and how she personalized them with vinyl, and I knew this was a project I had to share with y’all! If you’ve got five minutes, these Easter totes are the perfect craft project to crank out while the kids take a nap.
I’ll admit that growing up I hated Easter egg hunts. After a few minutes I’d get bored of looking for the eggs and I’d just wander around the yard as my parents encouraged me to continue looking (and even “helping” me a bit) from the sidelines. There was a lot of running over each other and pushing people out of the way just to get an egg. And a lot of trickery too. It never failed that someone would fall to the ground, sobbing that another kid had pushed them, and when we’d all gather around to see if they were okay they’d jump up and grab the three eggs they’d spotted under a nearby tree. That was a lot of work for a few pieces of candy, and I was too lazy for that.
Even though my little one isn’t old enough to hunt eggs on his own this year, I am looking forward to next year when he’ll be able to. As long as he doesn’t get my disdain for the tradition, it should be a fun holiday! Especially with his own personalized Easter tote to hunt with.

To make your own Easter tote all you’ll need is:
- Silhouette Machine
- Heat Transfer Vinyl
- Iron & Ironing Board
- An old pillowcase
- Bunny Totes from Target’s dollar section
I measured the bags so I could figure out just how large to make the names before I got started and found that neither bag had the exact same measurements. I highly suggest measuring them so you get the name just big enough for the bag!
Write out your children’s names in the Silhouette Design Studio, mirror them, and then cut them out.
Weed the vinyl and then place the name on your tote (make sure you can read it and that the transfer tape is on top).
Place your pillowcase on top of the vinyl and then press down with your iron for 40-60 seconds. Check to see if the vinyl is stuck to your tote, if it is you can pull off the transfer tape and admire your work! If not, cover the vinyl back up with the tape and the pillowcase and continue pressing until it sticks.
See, isn’t that easy? Now you have these adorable Easter totes that your kids will love to hunt with! And it only took five minutes to make. Who doesn’t love simple and quick crafts like this? Now I’ve just got to get these adorable totes to my friend so her kids can use them on Sunday.
What is your favorite part of Easter? Are you a fan of the hunt?
