March in Review
March is over! I never thought I’d be so glad to have a month behind me. I was ready for Spring and yet the snow just kept coming. In fact, it snowed again on Sunday. Seriously. I am ready for warm weather April! Bring it on!
There were many firsts for the blog in March, and I’m pretty excited to see how much things are changing around here. For the better, of course!
After a lot of anticipation, The Photos Ladies finally started the bi-weekly photo challenge. Our first challenge was to shoot in Aperture Priority Mode and the second was to shoot in Shutter Priority Mode. I know a little about my camera and the different modes but these challenges have helped me understand how to better utilize them. I don’t think I’ll have to keep asking Chris how to set up my camera when I want specific shots anymore. Yay for being self-sufficient!
I also have a Master Bedroom redo going on. So far, the projects have been minimal but have made a huge difference. It surprises me how big of a difference three small changes can make.
This cute bedside printable was a huge hit. I found that I am not the only one with a spouse addicted to technology.
Master Bedroom Window Treatments made such a huge difference to our room!
My weathered mirrors were posted on Love, Pasta, and a Tool Belt’s blog as part of a blog swap!
I had a few great guest posts and a blogger feature as well!
- Madison from Wetherills Say I Do shared her tips for Photo Composition and the photography rule of thirds.
- Emily from Love, Pasta, and Tool Belt shared her Repurposed Clock to Chalkboard project.
- I featured Kristy from Twist & Sprinkle where she answered some questions so we could get to know her and her blog better. You can find that post here.
And we can’t forget about my Disney posts! Those are always so fun to write.
- Must-Do’s at Animal Kingdom.
- Tips for how we afford Disney here.
One of my favorite craft projects that I did this month was my extra padded camera strap. It is so nice and comfy and my shoulders aren’t sore after wearing my camera around my neck all day.
And finally, I got to do two fashion posts (a first for me!). I was given the opportunity to review an incredibly cute top from toAdorn and also received my very first Stitch Fix in the mail!
- Find out what I kept and what I sent back from my Fix here.
- And take a look at the top toAdorn sent me and get a 10% off coupon to their site here.
Wow, that was a lot fun posts for March! I’ve got some really fun things coming up for April (guest posts, marriage week, bedroom projects, etc) and I can’t wait to share them all with you! I don’t know about you, but I am ready for April. Let’s get the showers over with so we can enjoy the flowers.
March seems like it was good to you! I’m so ready for warmer weather too! It seems like the cold is behind us though, it’s supposed to be at least 70 degrees all week here 🙂 So excited for your marriage week posts!!
It was good to me! I couldn’t believe (while writing this post) how great of a month it was. 🙂 So jealous of your 70 degree weather! It’s supposed to be low 60′s here the rest of the week and rain until Friday. At least it’s not snow though. That’s something I guess.
I can’t wait either! And I can’t wait for you to be a part of it!
Oh, how I love you and your blog! March seemed like a great month for you. Also, I know I’ve said it before but I love your master bedroom and am in love with those accent pillows! 🙂 I look forward to the projects & posts you have in store for April!
Hugs to you, girly!
Waking up to your sweet comments yesterday made my day! 🙂 March was such a great month and I feel so incredibly blessed that my blog is continuing to grow and flourish. Thank you for the sweet compliments about my master bedroom. I think you’ll love some of the April posts I have in store. haha You know #homegoods is the best place to shop! 😉
