Game of Thrones Onesie
Celebrate your love of the Night’s Watch with this Game of Thrones onesie!
Game of Thrones is just a few days away and we are so excited in my house! Nothing makes me happier than decking my little boy in all the nerdiness I can crank out with my silhouette machine, and this Game of Thrones onesie is no exception. It doesn’t even matter that he won’t watch this show until he’s 50!
Chris loves to joke that our child is going to be a ladies man just like his dad, and before I know it the little one will have a girlfriend. Well, he’s eight months old and he’s already had a few from his NICU days! I almost had a heart attack when his respiratory nurse called him her little boyfriend one afternoon when we were visiting after his shunt surgery! I’m so not ready for that! But, in the world of Game of Thrones, if you are sent to the wall you take a vow of celibacy. So naturally I thought this Game of Thrones onesie would be perfect for my little man.
Sorry ladies, this kid belongs to the Night’s Watch.

Supplies:
- Silhouette Machine
- Heat Transfer Vinyl (I get mine here)
- Game of Thrones font (I downloaded mine for free here)
- Onesies in any size and color
For this onesie you have to do knockout letters inside the crow. For the first time ever (eek!) I put together a short video to help you do it yourself. It’s so easy and only takes a few minutes to achieve!
I’d like to apologize now for the noisy baby in the background. He was very upset that his ball wouldn’t come back to him after he threw it across the room.
If you don’t like watching videos, here’s the play-by-play:
- Take your text (in this case, NIGHT’S WATCH) and drag it over to the crow. Place it on top of the image until you get it in the place you want it.
- Select both the crow and the NIGHT’S WATCH text. Right click and hit Make Compound Path.
- If you are using heat transfer material, make sure that you mirror your image BEFORE cutting it. You do this by selecting your entire image, right clicking it, and hitting Flip Horizontally.
To put it on your onesie, heat up your iron, place a pillowcase over your onesie and design, and press on the cotton setting for 45-60 seconds. If, after that time, the design hasn’t fully stuck to the onesie place the pillowcase back on top and press until it does. I had to do that a few times for this project but it finally stuck!
When washing onesies with vinyl on them, make sure you turn it inside out! Other than that you can wash it like you would anything else.
I have to admit, I am so ready for the season six premier now! Even though our little one will be in bed long before the show airs, he’ll be rocking this Game of Thrones onesie all day long. Sunday will probably be the longest day of my life. I really just want to find out what happened to my favorite Lord Commander. Because when we last left him, I was pretty angry with his brothers (Olly, you little jerk)….
You are so clever! I showed this to a friend who is a fan of the show, I thought she was going to swoon! Adorable!
Thank you so much, Terri! It was a lot of fun to make. 🙂 I’m so glad your friend loved it!
I am going to have a new niece in a couple weeks and this would be an awesome baby gift. Thanks for the idea.
Thank you, Carolyn! I love making personalized onesies as baby gifts. They’re so fun! Congratulations on your new niece!
I can barely contain my excitement! Is Jon Snow dead? Haha love the tee I want one x
My husband and I were discussing that last night! I really hope he’s not, he’s one of my favorite characters!
This is awesome! I’m going to send this to my son. He will love it!
Thank you! Is your son a Night’s Watch fan too?!
Can you believe that I’ve never watched Game of Thrones. I’ve heard lots about it but never seen it. BTW I don’t own a Silhouette but I do own a Cricut, so might be able to make one for me.
I have a ton of friends who’ve never seen it either! It’s a great show, pretty graphic but I love the characters and the storylines! And yes! You can definitely make this with a cricut. Once you start with heat-transfer vinyl you’ll never want to stop. It’s addicting!
I feel like the only person in the world sometimes who has never watched Game of Thrones! Clearly I’m missing out on a really great show! Your onesie is adorable, and if I had kids I’d have to geek them out in all my favorite fangirl attire– maybe my cats would be up for wearing one!

Your son’s onesie came out so good! I’ve never watched Game of Thrones, however sometimes I hear it in my sleep. My husband watches Game of Thrones or The Walking Dead when I fall asleep. 😀
Pinning this post to a DIY group board! 🙂 I seriously need a Silhouette.
