Harry Potter Inspired Onesies
Happy Harry Potter week friends! For my first ever themed week here at Crafty Wife, I decided I wanted to celebrate Harry Potter’s upcoming birthday with a week of HP inspired crafts.
I’ve been in love with the HP universe since the books first came out and that love has grown into a slightly unhealthy obsession over time. While I love all the books, Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince was the one that had the biggest impact on me. I still remember throwing my book to the floor and sobbing over Dumbledore. Hating Snape with a passion, convinced he was the most evil person on the planet. And then realizing I was completely wrong about him when Deathly Hallows was released. So today I’m honoring Snape with these Harry Potter Inspired Onesies!
While I love all things Harry Potter, it took a little bit longer for Chris to come around to it. He had never seen any of the movies when I first met him and he still hasn’t read the books. The very first movie I took him to see was the Half Blood Prince and it’s a movie we reference and quote all the time. It only seemed fitting to take inspiration from that movie to make onesies for our little man!

Materials
- HTV (heat transfer vinyl)
- Onesies
- Onesie designs, download Half Blood Prince Design and Always design
- Silhouette Portrait or Cameo
- Iron & Ironing Board
- Pillowcase
**ALWAYS REMEMBER TO MIRROR YOUR IMAGE BEFORE CUTTING!**
I followed the exact same directions from when I made my Nerdy Baby Onesies and didn’t have any problems! Just remember to press hard with your iron and if the letters come up when you pull off the transfer tape just put the iron back on your onesie and continue to press until they stick!
It’s so simple!
And now you have some super stylish and fun onesies to celebrate Harry Potter week with! I cannot wait to put my little man in them and take a Harry Potter themed photoshoot. Maybe I’ll end up doing a month-by-month Harry Potter themed shoot with him during the first year….that would be amazing!
What’s your favorite Harry Potter movie and/or book? Do you have a favorite character?
Oh my goodnes these are awesome ( spot the Harry Potter nerd ! ) I love them Teresa
Thank you so much Amber!!!
In your experience, how well have these held up in the wash? I was just thinking about doing something like this instead of spending a ton of $$. Thank you.
Hi Dina!
They hold up very well! I always turn mine inside out and then wash and dry on the delicate cycles. I’ve never had any issues!
Hi! I’d love to try this but there seems to be an error with the download. Any tips or can you repost?
Thanks!
