Simple DIY Christmas Card

I’m always making cards, and one of my favorite things about Christmas is all of the cards I get to make and all of the ones I receive! I think that handmade cards are so nice, but they are especially nice during the holidays. Each one is unique and it’s much more personal. A lot of times, you can even get your kids involved and it’s a great opportunity to get creative!

This Simple DIY Christmas Card is so cute! It's really easy to make and only uses basic craft supplies--no die cutting machine needed!

I came up with this simple DIY Christmas card because we don’t always have a lot of time during the holidays to make something too complicated. This is also a great idea if you don’t have a Cricut, because this can be made with just basic craft supplies.

I started out with 3 sheets of 8.5″ x 11″ card stock, some Christmas ribbon, and 2 packs of holiday embellishments.

Next, I decided that I was going to make the card have a gift wrapped effect with this super cute ribbon! I used glue dots to stick the ribbon to the card. I love adding ribbon to cards–it adds nice texture and it’s really easy to do.

I stuck the bow on with a glue dot, pasted the Merry Christmas greeting, and then stuck the two embellishments onto the card.

In the little space that’s left, I’m going to write our names and maybe a custom greeting for whoever I decide to send this cute little card to!
