Watch My Love Grow! Valentine Popcorn Gift Bags
Skip the sweets this Valentine’s Day and give your loved ones cute DIY Valentine popcorn gift bags and download the FREE SVG love kernels file for your popcorn gift bags!
I don’t know about y’all but after Christmas and all the candy in my stockings I am all sugared out. I have enough sweets to last me through Easter, and even then I’m begging Chris to substitute candy in my basket because I just don’t need or want the sugar.
Unless he decides to bring me a Caramel Mocha from Starbucks because I’ll never say no to that. ?
But when I’m all candied out the one “treat” I like to have is popcorn. The salty treat is a nice change from all the sugar and it cuts down on the cravings I tend to get. Plus, it’s super yummy!
Sometimes I have to laugh at how these blog projects come about. Chris and I watch this show on the CW called Crazy Ex Girlfriend where the main girl is obsessed with her old flame from summer camp. She’s convinced that he’s in love with her too and whenever he says something nice to her she calls it a “love kernel“.
And for whatever reason that little phrase popped in to my head as I was driving my toddler to therapy the other day and I realized I that it would make a super cute Valentine gift!

Tutorial:
+ Cut out a popcorn template with your Silhouette (mine came from the Silhouette store)
+ Use glue dots to put together the popcorn bags.
+ Measure out one cup of popcorn kernels and put them in the a plastic bag. Tie it shut with your twine.
+ Wrap a piece of twine around your bag and then cut out the Love Kernels labels and attach them to your popcorn bags!
I don’t make a lot of paper DIY’s when it comes to my Silhouette but I loved my Halloween popcorn bags so much that I knew I wanted to make some for Valentine’s Day too! I could’ve made a template for the bag myself but honestly, there are a few times where I just opt to buy one on the Silhouette store instead.
It makes it easier to take shortcuts sometimes and there is no shame in that!
Pretty much all of the Valentine’s Day crafts I’ve ever done are always simple and easy to make, just like these!
more valentine fun!
